IIP-020: Agents as entities: install, identity and delegation
IIP-020 is recorded on the Hypervisor Daemon roadmap with status Planned in Horizon 1 — Hypervisor Alpha on one node: Agents as entities: install, identity and delegation. A packaged agent installs into a tenant and runs with its own identity under the tenant’s policy. Installing grants nothing: authority comes from a grant made by a person or organization, which stays accountable. A child’s authority is a subset of its parent’s, budgets are reserved from the parent, and revoking a grant stops every descendant. Track records derive from receipts, and compositions of several agents build on the same objects..
What it is
A packaged agent installs into a tenant and runs with its own identity under the tenant’s policy. Installing grants nothing: authority comes from a grant made by a person or organization, which stays accountable. A child’s authority is a subset of its parent’s, budgets are reserved from the parent, and revoking a grant stops every descendant. Track records derive from receipts, and compositions of several agents build on the same objects.
Where it stands
Design. Agent manifests and workflow definitions exist, but agents are not yet entities in the daemon and compositions do not execute.
What has to be true next
A third-party agent installs, runs under policy with its own identity, cannot escalate, and stops within seconds of revocation; its track record re-derives from receipts offline.
Status
Planned in Horizon 1 — Hypervisor Alpha on one node. Accepted next work with canonical scope, not a delivery promise. Horizons order work by evidence, not by date.
