IOI Runtime Roadmap Context

IOI Runtime is the Runtime Substrate surface in the IOI roadmap. The IOI Runtime is the daemon-compatible execution boundary for autonomous systems: policy, tools, models, connectors, workflows, receipts, replay, SDK/CLI clients, and IDE projections. This surface spans Q1 2026 through 2027+ and should route technical readers to the canonical evidence behind each implementation claim.

Implementation Records

The IOI Runtime surface currently contains 10 roadmap records. Each record has its own canonical IIP URL, phase, status, and evidence profile so search engines can distinguish implementation milestones from source research documents.

• IIP-005: Runtime daemon v0 is Shipped in Q1 2026 with scope: Local daemon endpoint, runtime bridge, ASP lifecycle, tool/MCP controls, policy decisions, receipts, replay, and model-control authority.
• IIP-006: Agent SDK / ADK facade is Shipped in Q1 2026 with scope: Installable client facade over the unified runtime substrate.
• IIP-007: CLI / TUI operator surface is Shipped in Q1 2026 with scope: Domains, manifests, receipts, authority scopes, and runtime operations.
• IIP-008: Workflow substrate is Shipped in Q1 2026 with scope: Shared graph model, node contracts, schemas, recipes, and receipts.
• IIP-013: Direct IDE workbench is Active in Q2 2026 with scope: Electron/VS Code fork, built-in ioi-workbench, Agent Studio, Models, Workflow Composer, receipts/replay, and daemon bridge.
• IIP-052: Local model runtime authority is Active in Q2 2026 with scope: LM Studio/Ollama discovery, model artifact catalog, load estimates, load/unload/remount, daemon endpoints/routes, workflow binding, and invocation receipts.
• IIP-019: Persistent runtime substrate is Active in Q3 2026 with scope: Durable runtime process lifecycle, persistent local databases, and early local AFT receipt validation primitives.
• IIP-051: AFT Verification Client is Gated in Q4 2026 with scope: Light-weight verification client within the runtime daemon for validating AFT consensus headers and state-channel proofs.
• IIP-027: Protocol-aware execution is Planned in 2027+ with scope: Local execution aware of AFT consensus assumptions and state channels.
